George! Your post is perfectly timed for me and I’m thoroughly grateful-... this is a bit of a drive as we are in the San Fernando Valley... but have plans to drive to Whittier and my husband and I can’t wait to try some of these dishes (who am I kidding- we want to eat it all ! ).

Rowland has soooo much good food man! I hadn't gone before meeting Hanglei, but now I'd probably prefer it to San Gabriel. The atmosphere is more chill, insulated away from LA, and the density of good restaurants in some areas is insane!

Do you know anywhere to get dessert-style 豆花? Been casually looking for that for a while.

I haven't eaten anywhere on this list yet, but I will have to change that!!

VP tofu has a great 豆花, and pandan one on weekends only I think.

Their fried tofu is also great; they’ve got lemongrass chili, plain, and 木耳/粉絲

Seconding VP tofu! I didn't include them since they're more of a tofu shop than a restaurant, but I‘m with you Will. Apparently Garage Restaurant also serves a homemade sweet 豆花, though I haven't tried. (They mainly do Tianjin breakfast food like Fortune No. 1 so make a lot of savory tofu pudding)
