I sent the first copies to the grandparents, who have been my biggest supporters from the start. I love them so, so, so much. Grandma and Grandpa are frequent shoppers at their local Chinese market, always sending me updates on their creations. Oma, 84 years old, said she will try to round up some tofu this weekend for the first time.
We’re in the process of scheduling a launch party, which will determine when we go live. It’s looking like mid-September. Maybe we’ll do it at Chef David’s restaurant, but our superstar is a hot commodity these days. He competed on Season 2 of Food Network’s Beachside Brawl, which released their series finale yesterday. And he all but put away the competition.
While in New York, my aunt Cheryl came up with a great idea. A lot of folks struggle to identify the tofu varieties at their local markets. Why not allow readers to send in photos and clarify them in our newsletter? Maybe even provide sample recipes to go with? If you have tofus you’re confused about, please share them here.
I’ll keep you posted around the launch. Thanks as always for your encouragement!! Can’t wait to keep you a copy of our book, Broken Cuisine!!
